Hey, I’m Kate.

Born and raised on the Sunshine Coast, I’m a mum to a 6-year-old legend, Ollie, and our fur baby, Arlo (a lazy Labrador in Border Collie clothing).

Once upon a time, I swam, biked and ran my way through triathlons across Australia and the South Pacific.

Life is a little slower these days. We spend most of our time chasing the sun instead, building sandcastles, or getting absolutely nothing done because the park took over again (I know you get it).

To me, family is everything and laughter is mandatory.

I love sharing stories, meeting new faces, and finding absolute joy in the ordinary.

A pregnant woman tickling her belly button laughing in the foreground slightly out of focus with large, pine trees behind her under a clear blue sky.

A little bit about me.

You’re in the right place if you want the kind of photos that *feel* like your life when you look at them – beach hair, dirty feet, arms wrapped tight, kids running wild with laughter just because they can.

I’m stoked you’re here.

I want to give other mums the gift I wish I’d given myself.

It’s gut-wrenching to admit, but I have next to no photos from my pregnancy or those early newborn days with my squishy little Ollie.

No proof of how he fit perfectly in my arms, or how his tiny fingers wrapped around mine. No photos of the love that was written all over my face, even through the exhaustion.

Illustration of a small jar with a lid and a small pitcher with a handle, both in a minimalist style.
A young girl with curly brown hair lying on a playground surface, smiling and looking up, wearing a red and white striped jacket with flamingo prints, partially covered by an adult who is sitting beside her.

There is a silver lining though.

The disappointment and regret I have for not having my own special photos is what led me to this work. Now I get to make sure other families don’t miss out.

THE VIBE
(what to expect)

Spoiler alert: You won’t hear me ask you to “say cheese”.

I’m not here to line you up on a beach and tell you to smile (we can do better than that).

I’m here for the good stuff – the stuff that you actually do as a family.

Whether that’s chasing the kids through ankle-deep waves, coffee runs with sandy feet, park hangs or scooters racing home before sunset.

I want to capture the things, people and places that actually mean something to you.

We’ll pick a spot (maybe it’s your street, your local café, that patch of coast you love) and I’ll document the adventure as we go.

We’ll laugh, play, explore, and find the moments that sneak up when no one’s thinking about the camera.

By the time we wrap up, it’ll feel less like a photoshoot and more like a really good afternoon with your favourite people.

Alive. Happy. Laughing. Moving. Playing. Enjoying the moment.

A collage of two photos of a beach scene. The left photo shows a man and a young child, both naked, playing and walking in shallow water at the beach with trees in the background. The right photo shows a woman sitting on the sand, holding a small child, both facing away from the camera, with the ocean in the background.

THE FAMILIES
I PHOTOGRAPH
(my people)

Most of the time, they’re barefoot at the beach, the skatepark, or somewhere in between.

They pack picnics, grab a cold one with friends, and let their mini-mes run wild on the weekends.

They live by the sea because the outdoors is where they are happiest.

They surf, skate, ride bikes, or wander through markets on Sunday mornings.

They’re kind, loving, adventurous, a little loud, a little messy. Completely themselves.

They’re the families who stop for babyccinos and ice creams on the way home just because.

They know happiness is homemade.

Those are my people.

If that sounds a little like your crew, I can’t wait to chat with you.

Let’s book you in.

At the end of the day, I want you to have photographic proof of what you’ve created – your world, your little people who love their life, love you, and love a good time.

Something to hold onto when it’s all said and done.

Something to smile at, remember it by, and feel proud of.
